PAPPA MEMBERS IN FESTIVE MOOD HAVE ANOTHER CASH GIFT FOR CHARITIES

Property professionals raised more than £1200 on the night for their two adopted charities as they got into the festive spirit at this year’s PAPPA Xmas Charity Dinner.

The money  – raised from the raffle – will go towards the donations being made to the Horizons Children’s Sailing Charity and Friends and Families of Special Children Ltd, in the New Year.

More than 100 guests enjoyed a black tie dinner and entertainment at the Duke of Cornwall Hotel in Plymouth on Friday 7th December, one of the key dates on the PAPPA events calendar.

PAPPA Chair Ben Dreher said: “Once again, it was an extremely enjoyable evening and I want to thank all our guests for the generous donations they made to our two adopted charities on the night.”

Among the guest were representatives of both the Horizons Children’s Sailing Charity and Friends and Families of Special Children Ltd.

The Horizons charity was established in 1991 and builds links with Plymouth communities, schools and families in areas of social deprivation by offering sailing activities.

More than 3,000 sessions are organised each year or young people aged between eight and 19, who increase their self- confidence, as well as improve social and practical skills during the activities.

Friends and Families of Special Children Ltd, also based in Plymouth, is a non-profit organisation, providing information, support and services for families with disabled children, including social and leisure events.

It is run by a number of professionals from varied backgrounds, such as corporate hospitality, social work and youth work, law, finance and counselling.
