PAPPA PRESENTS CHEQUE TO HORIZONS CHARITY

Property professionals in Plymouth have handed over a cheque for £1,750 to the city’s Horizons Children’s Sailing Charity.

It is part of the proceeds from the golf day and the charity Xmas dinner organised by the Plymouth Area Property Professionals Association (PAPPA).

PAPPA Chair Ben Dreher and Secretary Debbie Lawson presented the cheque to Andrew Eccleston, a Trustee of the charity.

Ben said: “I am delighted that we have been able to help Horizons for a second year. It is such a deserving charity and I know they will put these funds to excellent use.”

As PAPPA’s adopted charity in 2017 too, Horizons Children’s Sailing Charity also benefited from a £2,000 donation from Plymouth property professionals.

The charity was established in 1991 and builds links with Plymouth communities, schools and families in areas of social deprivation by offering sailing activities.

It organises more than 3,000 sessions each year for young people, aged 8 – 19, helping them to increase self- confidence, as well as improving their social and practical skills.
